Dog-friendly on Friday night

We chose the Kinsale for this past Friday night for 2 reasons. 1. They are "Dog friendly" 2. They have one of the better beer selections this side of the city. They always have Dogfish 90 fresh and on tap. I started off with one of those and Ab had a Chimay White on draft, both were served in proper glassware and were refreshing on a warm summer night. Along with our beers they immediately brought out a big bowl of water for our thirsty puppy and when our friends and their puppy joined us later on they happily brought out a second bowl! To start we had homemade potato chips with a Cisco Whale’s Tale Pale Ale Irish cheddar dipping sauce. The chips were delicious and crispy while hot, after a few minutes they cooled off and became soggy and chewy. Good thing we were hungry and ate most of them when they first came out! As the night progressed we continued to imbibe on various tap beers including Clipper City Loose Cannon IPA (a well hopped double ipa) and CBC Golden Regatta (a golden, crisp, refreshing lager). While the food at the Kinsale is standard pub grub fare, the beer list and dog friendly outside seating make it a worthy destination in the North End/Downtown area.
